The TRUE ESSENCE of CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas, the day that we are all waiting for every year. There's no other day that is more exciting to celebrate than Christmas day. We always celebrate Christmas by exchanging gifts, decorating our Christmas tree and throwing party. But we are forgetting the true essence of Christmas.

The true essence of Christmas is remebering the birth of Christ and His love for us. Without Him, we would not be here today. We can also say that Christmas is all about sharing your blessings with those who are really in need and being thankful for what we have. In other words, we should love our neighbors even if they are poor or rich, our friend or our foe. Giving love to our neighbors may be the best gift that we can give to them so we should keep loving them.

But don't just give love on Christmas Day instead we should also give love even if it's not Christmas so that people will also love you.

November-tastic??

November, the 11th month of the year. It's a busy month for us students in school and also at home because there are many activities that are expected to be done.

We all know that on this month, the first thing we do is to visit the remains of our dead relatives because it's All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. The 3 long weekends that we had was sure enjoying because we had time to relax and I had time to play computer games. But on the other hand, something sad happened. Our Math teacher, Mrs. Josephine Parel, had her retirement. We, the IV-Marconi, had thrown a party for her to make her happier and a sign of giving thanks to her. The City Meet 2009 also occured on this month and the opening program was done here in school. Also, some of the sports were played here in school. So we, CAT officers, were ordered to do our duties.

It's sure is a busy month for us, but thank God that all has ended well and the only concern for us now is in the future. We should think positive so that all will also end well in the future.

"A Busy Quarter for the Learners"

The Second Grading Period has ended and there are two more to go until we graduate. Even though we had a hard time in doing our works in school due to the consecutive typhoons, I think we still did a great job in our studies this quarter. But we learned a lot this quarter that can help us in the future even with all of these circumstances.

On this quarter, we had a hard time finishing our assignments, activities and projects all at the same time. Every night was a busy night for us. This is because of the unexpected 1-week vacation which is caused by the typhoons. Our teachers rushed all the topics that will be on the test. We also had a hard time preparing for the Periodical Test because, we didn't had much notes in all of the topics so we had a hard time reviewing. And I did my best, and I think my best wasn't good enough so I will do a lot better in the following quarter.

This quarter was sure challenging and you may say, it is harsh too. But past is past and you can't change it so don't ever think about the past and concentrate in the next quarter. In other words, prepare for the future ahead of you, and never think about the past...

My Teacher...My Hero...

Heroes are people who can do things that helps other people. People don't need extraordinary abilities like the superheroes we see in comics and television like Superman. Every people can be a hero just by doing something simple but it can help others.

Can we consider teachers as heroes??? Of course, we consider them as heroes. Why? Because teachers help us, students, by teaching us. They are the ones who makes our future better and makes sacrifices just to share us their knowledge about something. They give us advice that helps us in the future. Even if they don't have any special powers, they do have their wisdom as their power.

So we must give thanks to our teachers in doing their extraordinary works in order for us to be successful in the future. If it weren't for them, I won't be this successful. So I thank them so much...

"Adapting to Diverse Science Culture for Development"

In the early days, life was simple and the technologies made were just simple. But today, technology is now abundant and more advanced than before which makes our life more comfortable thanks to Science.
Science sure has contributed so many useful things for us to use. Scientists today keep conducting investigations and studies to construct more things to use in making our daily works more easier and effortless. One of the inventions that helps people today and maybe in the future is the computer. It helped us not just in our works nowadays but also helped us in communicating with our relatives and friends all throughout the world. And other technologies helped in transporting people from other places like motorcycles, cars, buses, planes and others. There are so many changes that happened since Science came to our world and maybe some of these changes are not yet discovered and introduced to the public. These are just the changes that I can enumerate today but maybe in the future, I can enumerate enurmous changes through Science.
Science is definitely great and important for the development of our world. But Science keeps on contributing many things to benefit us. Imagine our lives today without Science. So it's time for us to adapt science culture for the development of the future.

Filipino Language from Baler to the Entire Country

People from different countries here in the world have their own language to use for communicating with other people. And here in the Philippines, Filipino is what we considered as our national language.

Nearly all the Pilipinos here in the country use this language in communicating with their fellowmen to understand each other. The Filipino language was born in Baler which is the place where Manuel L. Quezon, the Father of Filipino Language, was born. Schools today even has a subject that regards on the speaking and understanding Filipino language. This is a great help to us because if we learn how to speak and understand this language, we can communicate with each other properly. If there is a Pilipino who don't know how to use this language, he/she is not considered a real Pilipino to some people. So we must give importance to Filipino language, our national language.

If we don't do all of these, Filipino language will vanish. And if this ever happen, it will be hard for us to get it back for the next generations to come.

GAINED KNOWLEDGES ABOUT COMPUTER

As I entered my fourth year in high school, my knowledge about many things has expanded and learned many more that I didn't encountered in my past years. I also learned about computer in our subject, TLE IV, where we didn't just talked about the history and uses of the computer but we also learned how to surf on the internet and how to blog. All this in one quarter.
But even if I learn so many things, problems just keep coming as I moved on in my high school life and they just don't stop coming. These problems include the problems of internet connection which leads to delay in our works that includes the use of the internet. Sometimes one of my classmates complain about the loss of internet connection and they can't finish it in time because sometimes they have no computer that has internet to work on.
To solve these problems, I will not give up in studying hard for the upcoming quarters of my fourth year in high school to have better grades than any of my grades for the past years.
Moving on, I will continue my hard works as a student to pass all challenges in life and I won't give up studying so I can have better grades and performances in the coming quarters than the past years of my high school life.

SPEAK IN ENGLISH OR FILIPINO PROPERLY WITH KINDNESS

Speaking in English is a good way of communicating with people from other countries and speaking in Filipino is a good way of communicating with our fellow Filipino citizens.
Speaking in English is one of the most important things to practice by people because it is called the universal language which is used by people in different countries. Most Filipinos today don't speak in English very often because they find it difficult to speak and that is why they often have trouble communicating with tourist or foreigners. Some can speak in English but they can't use it properly or they use it in an impolite manners. Speaking also in Filipino is another language to practice because we live in the country that originated this language and it's a shame if we, Filipinos, don't know how to speak our own language.
So we must speak these languages to communicate with people in the Philippines and all the countries around the world properly in a polite way.

Wastong Nutrisyon Kailangan, Lifestyle Diseases Iwasan

Today, many diseases are spreading not just in the Philippines but also the countries all over the world. One of these diseases is the influenza A(H1N1) which is feared by many people even if it is not deadly. Can we prevent this diseases from infecting our lives? How can we prevent this?

To prevent these diseases from harming us, we must eat nutritious foods, exercise regularly, clean environment, enough sleep and taking vitamins. We must eat nutritious foods, taking vitamins and exercise regularly to strengthen the resistance of our body so that we can withstand the diseases around us today. We should also clean our environment to lessen or maybe to get rid of the disease-causing viruses around us. Sleeping or resting is another way to resist diseases so we should get enough sleep everyday.

If we follow and do these things, we can live a better life. But if you don't follow one of these, you won't become healthy. So we must do these things to become healthy for the rest of our life.
